FAQs
What are the conference dates?

May 5-7, 2025. The full schedule, including all pre-conference sessions on Sunday, May 4, can be found here.

Where is the conference being held?

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

How much does it cost to attend?

The Alliance Conference is offered at no charge, except for personal travel and lodging (see below), to all BDO Alliance USA Members, BDO USA, P.C. invitees, and other guests attending by private invite. There is a $1,000 fee for global BDO Member Firm attendees.

What is the registration process?

Your firm will be allotted a set number of spots* when registration opens on Tuesday, January 7. A voucher code will need to be entered to register; check with your firm’s leadership to obtain that code. Codes will be distributed by email from [email protected] to firm leadership on Friday, January 3. Note there are no partial registrations; your attendees will be signing up for the full, three-day conference. We will hold these spots until February 14.

If we have open spots leftover, like last year, we will re-open registration on Monday, February 24. At that time, there will be no restrictions on how many additional attendees you can sign up; it’ll be first come, first served until we reach our capacity. A second voucher code will be required to register during the open phase as well. Registration will close completely when all available spots have been filled, or by April 1 - whichever is earlier.

Please read the section further down the page about changing or swapping attendees later. We recommend carefully planning your delegation prior to registering.

*CPA Alliance Firms: Some firms have been guaranteed 7 spots and others 4 spots, through February 14. An email was sent to firm leadership on November 8, 2024 from [email protected] with your firm’s allotment. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.

*BRN Firms: Guaranteed 2 spots through February 14.

*Sponsors: If your company is a confirmed Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze sponsor, you will be guaranteed 5 spots through February 14.

We also allow 3 additional "tradeshow-only" attendees to come for booth time only, but they won't have access to sessions or meals outside of the exhibition times. Save their names as they'll be registering for a badge during the open registration period, beginning February 24.

Will there be a waitlist?

No. For those who didn’t get to register between January 7 and February 14, they will have to try and secure their spot (with firm leadership approval) in the open registration phase, beginning February 24.

Can my firm split registrations (e.g., send one person on Sun/Mon, then swap for another on Tues/Weds)?

No. Splitting or sharing registrations cannot be accommodated. Everyone registering will be signing up to attend the FULL conference, with the exception of those limited BRN “tradeshow-only” attendees.

What if our firm registers more people than our allotment?

Between January 7 and February 14, we will be checking registrations daily against each firm’s allotment; if a firm goes over, even if everyone has received a confirmation, we will be reaching out to ask which person(s) on the roster should be cancelled.

How will I receive confirmation of my registration?

You will receive a registration confirmation email within minutes after you successfully register, which includes your Confirmation Number for the conference. This number can be used later to make any modifications to your registration record, while registration is still open.

The registration confirmation will be coming from “BDO Conferences” at [email protected] and titled “Registration Confirmed – 2025 EVOLVE Conference.” (Please note this mailbox is not monitored for messages or replies.) If you did not receive the email, check your clutter, spam and/or quarantine folders. You can also email [email protected] to request your Confirmation Number again.

How do I make changes to my registration?

If registration is still open, all changes to course selections, arrival and departure dates, etc. should be made on the registration site. As noted above, your Confirmation Number will allow you to log in and make those changes by modifying your registration.

What is the hotel/lodging expectation for this event, and what is the room rate?

Attendees must stay in one of our room blocks; the only exception is for those attendees who live in the Greater Las Vegas area or tradeshow-only attendees. Rooms are to be booked as part of the EVOLVE conference registration process; please do not book a room via another method as that reservation won’t count towards our room block.

You will input your arrival and departure dates on our site and BDO will make the reservation on your behalf. Room payments will be made to the hotel directly by you when you arrive. If you do not book a room during our registration process, we will be reaching out to you to do so. Attendees who live outside of Las Vegas and who decline to book a room in our block will face a fee equal to two nights’ lodging ($470). Our room block/reservation policy allows BDO to continue offering EVOLVE as a tuition-free event for our members, so we appreciate your cooperation.

You will not be receiving a confirmation email/number from the Cosmopolitan. Rather, you will receive a lodging confirmation email from BDO about a month before the conference begins, confirming your arrival and departure dates.

Cosmopolitan (primary block): $235/night + taxes and service fees.
Vdara: We have some rooms set aside at the Vdara to accommodate any overflow needs at a comparable nightly rate. It’s an easy 3-minute walk indoors from the Vdara lobby to the Cosmopolitan Conference Center through an enclosed pedestrian bridge.

BDO USA will manage all reservations and placements. If you are assigned to stay at the Vdara, you will be notified closer to the program date as part of your lodging confirmation email. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests to stay at the Vdara; room assignments will be made based on availability and logistical considerations.

Questions about lodging and hotel rooms can be submitted via this form page (choose “Lodging”). Changes to lodging needs should be done on the registration site, while still open; if registration has closed and you have a late lodging change, please submit those details on the form page (choose “Lodging”).

Can I change a registered attendee's name later, or cancel?

New policy for 2025. Changes to attendees (i.e., “swaps,” where one person takes the place of another) can only be made through Wednesday, April 9. After April 9, no name changes or swaps will be allowed; only cancellations will be accepted with applicable fees as noted below. If your firm’s original registrant(s) can no longer attend, they cannot be substituted after April 9; they will just need to be cancelled.

To “swap” an attendee through April 9:

  1. Visit this form page and choose “Attendee Change” to notify BDO of the change in attendees, noting both names and emails of the swapping attendees.

  2. The new attendee must register for the conference on the same day the notification is made.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your registration, please note the instructions below. Failure to complete all required steps may result in your firm being assessed the stated charges.

Cancellations taking place from January 7 through April 9: No charge to cancel. Visit this form page and choose “Registration Cancel” and then state your message about the cancellation.

Cancellations taking place after April 9: Your firm will be billed $235.00 per night plus applicable taxes and service charges for all room reservations held on behalf of the attendee. Visit this form page and choose “Registration Cancel” and then state your message about the cancellation.

Is transportation to/from the airport provided?

No, BDO does not provide ground transportation for this conference. When you arrive, we recommend using a taxi or rideshare alternative from the Las Vegas airport for the approximately 15-minute trip to the Cosmopolitan.

Will there be an option to attend virtually?

EVOLVE 2025 will be an in-person event. We will not be offering a live stream or recordings of any sessions. As in past years, we will plan to again offer EVOLVE Encore, a live, virtual event spread over several days, which repeats a number of the most highly attended sessions from the conference. Team members who may not be able to attend can still experience some of the content and CPE credit.

Will CPE be offered?

Up to 11 CPE credits will be available for the main portion of the conference; additional CPE credits may be available for participation in other sessions hosted prior to Monday’s General Session. CPE credit will be granted to individuals who attend a session for a minimum of 50 minutes and check-in via the mobile conference app. Note that CPE credit will not be granted for overlapping or simultaneous sessions.

Where can I find my CPE certificates from the conference?

CPE certificates can be accessed by BDO USA and BDO Alliance member attendees in their BDOU accounts within 30 days after the conference ends. Alliance Members can login to BDOU from this page. Non-Alliance Member guests of the conference and BDO International member attendees will receive an email with further instructions on how to access their certificates.

How can I be a conference sponsor?

Current Alliance members can review our conference prospectus on the Alliance Portal, which details sponsor level commitments and ‘a la carte’ packages. Availability is limited and commitments will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

How can I be an exhibitor at the tradeshow?

All BRN firms interested in participating in the tradeshow can do so at no cost, but booth reservations are required. While sponsors receive prime location (and in some cases more space), every BRN firm that wants to participate (including sponsors) should begin the process of reserving a table here.

Is there a conference mobile app?

Yes. Stay tuned for how to download the conference app in April 2025.
Can I post information about the conference on social media?

Yes, we welcome all posts and shares on social media! Our conference hashtags are #BDOAllianceEvolve and #EVOLVE25. Keep in mind this event is not a public event though; it is only open to the BDO Alliance USA community. So, posts about your participation in the event are appropriate and welcome, but encouraging public attendance is not.

It is preferred that Alliance members complete this portal form for all questions (or email [email protected]).
